Your secondary mode is internal, where you take things in primarily via your intuition.

ENTJs are natural born leaders. They live in a world of possibilities where they see all sorts challenges to be surmounted, and they want to be the ones responsible for surmounting them. They have a drive for leadership, which is well-served by their quickness to grasp complexities, their ability to absorb a large amount of impersonal information, and their quick and decisive judgments. They are "take charge" people.

ENTJs are very career-focused, and fit into the corporate world quite naturally. They are constantly scanning their environment for potential problems which they can turn into solutions. They generally see things from a long-range perspective, and are usually successful at identifying plans to turn problems around - especially problems of a corporate nature. ENTJs are usually successful in the business world, because they are so driven to leadership. They're tireless in their efforts on the job, and driven to visualize where an organization is headed. For these reasons, they are natural corporate leaders.

There is not much room for error in the world of the ENTJ. They dislike to see mistakes repeated, and have no patience with inefficiency. They may become quite harsh when their patience is tried in these respects, because they are not naturally tuned in to people's feelings, and more than likely don't believe that they should tailor their judgments in consideration for people's feelings. ENTJs, like many types, have difficulty seeing things from outside their own perspective. Unlike other types, ENTJs naturally have little patience with people who do not see things the same way as the ENTJ. The ENTJ needs to consciously work on recognizing the value of other people's opinions, as well as the value of being sensitive towards people's feelings. In the absence of this awareness, the ENTJ will be a forceful, intimidating and overbearing individual. This may be a real problem for the ENTJ, who may be deprived of important information and collaboration from others. In their personal world, it can make some ENTJs overbearing as spouses or parents.

The ENTJ has a tremendous amount of personal power and presence which will work for them as a force towards achieving their goals. However, this personal power is also an agent of alienation and self-aggrandizement, which the ENTJ would do well to avoid.

ENTJs are very forceful, decisive individuals. They make decisions quickly, and are quick to verbalize their opinions and decisions to the rest of the world. The ENTJ who has not developed their Intuition will make decisions too hastily, without understanding all of the issues and possible solutions. On the other hand, an ENTJ who has not developed their Thinking side will have difficulty applying logic to their insights, and will often make poor decisions. In that case, they may have brilliant ideas and insight into situations, but they may have little skill at determining how to act upon their understanding, or their actions may be inconsistent. An ENTJ who has developed in a generally less than ideal way may become dictatorial and abrasive - intrusively giving orders and direction without a sound reason for doing so, and without consideration for the people involved.

Although ENTJs are not naturally tuned into other people's feelings, these individuals frequently have very strong sentimental streaks. Often these sentiments are very powerful to the ENTJ, although they will likely hide it from general knowledge, believing the feelings to be a weakness. Because the world of feelings and values is not where the ENTJ naturally functions, they may sometimes make value judgments and hold onto submerged emotions which are ill-founded and inappropriate, and will cause them problems - sometimes rather serious problems.

ENTJs love to interact with people. As Extroverts, they're energized and stimulated primarily externally. There's nothing more enjoyable and satisfying to the ENTJ than having a lively, challenging conversation. They especially respect people who are able to stand up to the ENTJ, and argue persuasively for their point of view. There aren't too many people who will do so, however, because the ENTJ is a very forceful and dynamic presence who has a tremendous amount of self-confidence and excellent verbal communication skills. Even the most confident individuals may experience moments of self-doubt when debating a point with an ENTJ.

ENTJs want their home to be beautiful, well-furnished, and efficiently run. They're likely to place much emphasis on their children being well-educated and structured, to desire a congenial and devoted relationship with their spouse. At home, the ENTJ needs to be in charge as much as he or she does in their career. The ENTJ is likely best paired with someone who has a strong self-image, who is also a Thinking type. Because the ENTJ is primarily focused on their careers, some ENTJs have a problem with being constantly absent from home, physically or mentally.

The ENTJ has many gifts which make it possible for them to have a great deal of personal power, if they don't forget to remain balanced in their lives. The are assertive, innovative, long-range thinkers with an excellent ability to translate theories and possibilities into solid plans of action. They are usually tremendously forceful personalities, and have the tools to accomplish whatever goals they set out for.

Jungian functional preference ordering:

Dominant: Extraverted Thinking

Auxiliary: Introverted Intuition

Tertiary: Extraverted Sensing

Inferior: Introverted Feeling

To know more about personality types visit : http://www.personalitypage.com/{mospagebreak}

To check on what type of personality you posses visit : http://www.personalitytype.com/quiz.asp

www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

I was so naive about how things works and how to manage people. T'was with this company that I pursued various agenda's and activities just to keep the pace and demands of the Company. I wanted to be one of those go to guys in any terms that is why I constantly look for opportunities to seize upon and put it in backpack or my portfolio. In this way I can fully tell myself that I'm not far behind if my company wanted me to handle huge projects. Unfortunately, the water runs dry and I felt bored worst demoralized though t'was not really a big issue after all.

Being bored was the worst feeling I don't like. I really hate being bored at the office coz I tend to feel being unchallenged ro being left behind. I know everybody is capable of something worth doing and thats for a fact. Plans can't be implemented due to circumstances that I don't know or we don't know that everyone from up their knows. This are the reasons why im incorporating "effective communication systems" as one of my indicators for a choice of an employer in my mini survey that would be uploaded soon at my job directory http://www.lagahit.com/. By the way, restructurign for http://www.lagahit.com/ is on going. I'm coordinating now with various freelance programmers that can offer me cheap services because I don't have the resources to fund expensive programmers. This is also the reason why I'm in the constant lookout for a new employer that can offer me a fare package for me to give my job directory a facelift. I just wanted to offer my fellow hr colleague a rewarding experience from me as an hr person as well and to my website http://www.lagahit.com/ a venue for all employers, employees & job seekers. Expect my directory to offer company reviews wherein employeees can rate their present companyies.

All of this happened for a reason i.e. I'm bored. I diverted most of my attention on this directory just for me not to be bored and to give this website an edge knowing that there are various portals out there who are offering some of my website's services. But, I would say they lack something why they can't replicate my site's service i.e. ME.

Aboitiz has done so many things to me. Trusted me on some initiatives and giving me opportunies as well. In fact, we just finish our aboitiz wide volleyball tournament last night and our company Metaphil which is an Aboitiz Construction Company landed 3rd place. It's good coz we landed 3rd out of 10 Aboitiz Company who participated in that event. I am really looking forward for another event next year but I guess my tenure for aboitiz ends here.

A good company and constantly aiming to be great. I'll be transfering those learnings to my new company and customize it according to my present companies needs. A big challenge and opportunity for me is up ahead and I'm gonna make the most out of it and give this start-up the edge over the other.

I'm proud to be of them i.e. Aboitiz Culture.

www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

This has been the hottest news in every human resource forums in the country to date including my forum Hr Cebu. HR Professionals from any directions will be coming for the first ever Hr online organization gathering and will be discussing the latest trends and practices affecting HR and the organization in general.

I’m anticipating this event including them. All the way from Cebu going to Manila just to interact with these professionals whom I used to converse with online? This event would really be amazing. After all, every HR member is looking forward to this event. This will be the right to time to interact with them personally and exchanged views of the function or most likely exchange calling cards. Now, my problem is I don’t have yet any calling cards. I guess this will be the right time to provide some for me.

Well anyway, convention will be on August 29, 2007 but I guess it’s fast approaching and I have not fixed my mind yet If I’ll go or not. Manila is quite far and expenses would be big. Hayyyyyyyyy.. But I’m really determined to go.

Anyway HR folks I’ll keep you posted for any updates.
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

I was thinking of a good brand name thus, I purchased YourZed.com. Kinda cool. Actually, this is not my first priority brand but MyZed.com has been owned someone else this I shifted to one common words. So much about the spinnings coz it would really be hard on my part to work on brands since crazy names would entail a huge amount of bucks to market and brand it.

For now, i'll be looking for cheap programmers who can help me configure two features of the site. This has been a basic question to Mr. Dot COM Entrepreneurs from across the globe who wanted to be the next Google, Yahoo, & BitTorrent. Another question is does the world need your product or service? Startups emerges because the saw the gap and wanted to filled it in.

Basically, some Internet startups started from a hobby or interest. If you’ll check with some know websites like Craig Newmark of Craigslist.org he started his website to help out some friends. My website is also born out of interest and hobby. This has been a source of my inspiration since lately wherein I feel so bored about life being an hr professional whereby you can’t implement various interventions because you don’t run the show. With this stuffs in mind, now I’m so eager of running my own show and I guess running this website will be the sole platform wherein I can orchestrate and direct my own show. Going back, startups can be identified in some ways. Some of them are just contented on how their sites evolve incrementally without the help of any VC or angel. Some are not contented with the incremental approach but rather on quantum approach to leapfrog their business model and grab the larger pie of the market.

Business models have various approaches on who to deal with. B2C or Business to Costumer where the business has direct contact with the consumer. Although there are some winners in this field, they are few and far between. B2B or Business-to-Business model. This simply means that they are doing business with other businesses. Mostly B2C’s are jumping in to B2B so it’s safe to say that there’s flood of this kind of model in the market to date. Another model is B2B2C. This model is a result of a major restructuring from B2B because it’s a known fact in the dot-com arena that ideas tend to loose its luster quickly. I was able to bump with this model last year when a guy from India offered me a cut just to expand his business model in the Philippines. His market was schools and universities wherein students will subscribe and will pay for a monthly subscription. And the last known model is P2P or peer to peer. We’ve got lots of this of model to date. To name a few, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, Gtalk, Skype, etc. without a centralize source.

Revenue models are factors VC’s and angels are looking into. This is where you state how and how far into future your business plans to collect revenue. Most sites are very dependent on easy to manage revenue models unlike managing your core revenue model. We have GoogleAdsense who’s been widely use by website owners together with banner advertising models. For Google Adsense, all you have to do is register an account with Google advertising copy the code and insert it to your source code. If your site has lots of unique visitors a higher income would be possible. Remember this is only a source of a passive income but worth the look for some startups are looking into this as a core revenue model. We could look into Interspire as one example of this approach wherein they are using Google Adsense to generate around $15 – 25,000.00 a month since they launched there own website a few months ago. This approach has been so effective to them since they’ve got various helpful contents for particular market that they can use and integrate it with Google Adsense. In this way people reading the contents would most likely click the Adsense. Another model is the content model. This model is not that really effective since people wouldn’t be paying anymore just to read contents. A lot of free contents on various topics are available already. This is reason why Interspire innovated and use those free contents and integrate it with Adsense. Another model I’ve identified is the Licensing Model or a patent already in place.

Shifting markets should be considered in your business plan. In this way you can adjust your plan and position it to be a force to be reckon with upon that market shift.

You may have a fabulous idea but one must consider that in the dot-com arena your idea has a shorter life span.

http://www.lagahit.com/ : Largest free employer edited Job Directory

www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

Such actions are commonly voluntary and involve stock swap or cash payment to the target. Stock swap is often used as it allows the shareholders of the two companies to share the risk involved in the deal. A merger can resemble a takeover but result in a new company name (often combining the names of the original companies) and in new branding; in some cases, terming the combination a "merger" rather than an acquisition is done purely for political or marketing reasons.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merger

So how can a recruiter capitalize on mergers?
Certainly, most mergers does not end up the way it used to be. Some circumstances such us clash of cultures would likely occur due to the fact that involve praties are coming from different angles of the market though a thorough assesment has been done that such integration would succeed. Such move by the management is crucial that if not well undertaken or carefully planned, a possibility of chaos would occur wherein acquired employees would tend to question of their necessary existence with the company. Due to merger’s, a number of executives would most likely jump-ship and remaining seriors and executives would opt to follow. This employee movement as a result of recent merger’s undertaken by some failed company. It’s also understandable that when your company is acquired your in the loosing end thus, new processes and systems would be installed worst a massive lay off or firing would be possible. This is why government has to come in whenever a huge merger occurs just like Arcelor and Mital recently’s discussion about merging two of the biggest steel producers in the world.

This is the best time recruiters and headhunters to move in. With the present demands of executives now adays, acquired company’s are the best place to approach to. With unstable mindset of the acquired company then they can easily be convinced to jump-ship and transfer to a new a company.

www.Lagahit.com
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

One should remember that if you want your site to get noticed, you should have one crazy idea that fills the gap. You should have that first mover advantage or you should build your own category for you to get noticed.

In my opinion, it doesn’t matter really if you have the market coz most crazy ideas don't have any market yet. They’re just there because they saw a gap and wanted to fill that gap. Latter on, people noticed it and find it cool. Some are born out of curiosity and hobby my site is not exempted from this (www.lagahit.com).

Going back to "rent your stuff", your just basically changing it's name not its concept or idea, but if you have a good idea on how to be different from them then that’s a lot better.
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

But we should take note that not all fads are quite effective since there are a lot of things needed to be considered in choosing to adopt a certain fad and Knowledge Management is one fad that made waves in the new economy i.e. BPO Industry. Especially from BPO Industry that they wanted to know what there sub-offices are doing that is why they resulted to integrating all the systems with the use of sophisticated infrastructures.

Adopting knowledge management in the work place should start first on a shared vocabulary idea. One should understand basically what is knowledge and how to acquire it. Actually, knowledge can be and even can be bought. Of course when you avail of trainings and seminars then you acquire such knowledge. But the problem is execution. Execution has been the most common pitfalls by some organizations. They tend to plan superbly but lack the execution part of which this is the most vital part. Execution and implementation should go hand in hand together with some metrics that would ascertain results.

With execution and implementation coupled with various matrices would lead to wisdom. The moment knowledge has been applied and put into practices there’s know doubt one can attain wisdom. Constant application would lead also to this so-called tacit knowledge that we can’t even explain or write. So in this case it is highly encourage we constantly use knowledge together with some matrices for us to measures its total out put. In this process we can attain wisdom.
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

Mission statements are easy to materialize but hard to realize. Mission statements should set of missions from individual person up to the organization in general. The hard part of this is how you align those individual missions according to the organization's mission in general.

Mission statements are sometimes vague if you’re a start up. But generally, mission statements are all directed to profit though some would sugar coat it as "towards a rewarding user experience" that is service oriented sites tends to innovate all the time to give their users and guest a rewarding experience. This is like a garden analogy. We don't want this guys just come on go without staying a little bit longer at our gardens. This is also one proven fact that users can't find one site that offers various features that suits every persons needs. In this case we build higher walls add more flowers and flood them with very powerful and useful features. Just like google etc. who keeps on acquiring merging and innovating to address that gap.
Based on those illogical explanations, I think you can draw a fine line as to how mission statements can give your organization that needed direction. Mission statements should be shared and be understood by every team members.

Rodelio Lagahit

www.Lagahit.com

www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

Honestly, I’m so poor in grammar and spelling. Good thing MSWord and is their to help me with it but sad to say this technology has some lapses also just like me. It’s really a fact that we can’t really rely on MSWord’s capabilities of checking its complete sentence structure and grammar up to some extent. But I guess I have no choice if I wanted to enhance my writing together with my communication skills.

I’ve been reading books since the last three years when I joined the Hr bandwagon. It has been my desire to learn some valuable lessons on how to manage people effectively tapping their innate latent and honing their potentials for them to be employable or be an achiever in their various fields. Actually, I don’t settle learning certain fields in HR rather I wanted to learn more on HR at a full spectrum because I’m quite comfortable at that place and could possibly learn a lot while looking things from up above. Just like playing chess, you can be more effective if you can see where your colleagues are being positioned for you to implement the game plan or for me as an HR to know where to insert and give value. We might have specifics goals but still I can’t satisfy that goal without them satisfying mine.

Anyway, books have been valuable to me and it’s my most essential companion aside from that special someone. I’m very much contented in a boring place with a book around. In this way I can wake my imagination and leave that place mentally. Aside from that I don’t go out without carrying a book with me because I know for sure that somewhere there’s a boring place out there that I might be dealing with. So you might think of me as bookish? Well I’m also practical and attacks situation logically and practically, so I’m just a typical brute the one you usually bump with.

So what then is my dilemma? Well, I really wanted to enhance my writing and communication skills. Reading alone can’t enhance it for sure so I resorted to blogging. Blogging has been around for months now and has been an effective tool by web geeks & wonks that wanted to express their brilliant side. Updated articles from known writers around the globe are constantly updated so expect them to be fresh. These articles are a source of my ideas as to how I can fully load my self up and position myself better for upcoming trends and practices in Hr, Web Technology & leadership etc. The Good thing also is that, I wanted to see myself how much have I grown thru blogging. Through blogging I can fully assess myself as to my dumbness or being fully loaded. In this way also I can correct myself as to attacking certain topics and what’s needed to be done using a friend to read my articles. In this way she can correct me because as the saying goes two heads are better that one. So what’s the good side? Those stuffs are certainly good for me and for an average person in this virtual community who wanted to enhance their writing and communication skills for blogging is same as communicating though with virtual audiences. Aside from that, you earn.

I’ve been using Google Adsense since last year and noticed its positive results just lately when I launched my core project www.Lagahit.com an employer edited job directory. All I have to do is use the code and upload it at my blogspot account. So if someone drop’s by a possibility of generating passive income is certain.

Rodelio Lagahit
www.Lagahit.com
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

This has been also an effective tool on my part since it gave me the benefits of knowing more go-to guys in my category “webeprenuers”. If you’re a start-up who lacks funding in terms of financial and knowledge then collaboration or strategic alliances are good options to consider. This strategy has been proven by top web performer and could get you to where you wanted to go.

I’ve been doing virtual collaborations since the past two years before concentrating on a core project. Collaborations P2P & B2B for future benefit would really be good if you’re looking forward to building your won virtual empire. Success of this kind of initiative is dependent upon its execution and management for you to allocate the needed resources effectively. Managing alliances is so crucial that if you’ll neglect this part you’ll soon notice that you’re screwing your potential to be a force to reckon with. Worst, if you don’t know whom your collaborating with and what benefit would your start-up idea be getting, then you’ll still end up in a dustbin. So I would suggest you fully evaluate their capabilities and sitting to it that their services would give value to your users experience.

For sure starting would be so tiresome what’s worst is that, resources has been wasted knowing that one crazy idea in the virtual community has a much shorter life cycle. This has been some of the reasons why start-ups are loading features or contents and continuously innovating just to keep up the hype. This is why collaborations is very vital on your day to day operations. If you can’t think still what new feature or new experience you can add to your portal then for sure diverting to collaborations would be a good source of new idea. With them on your fold, they can give something that for the meantime varied audiences will like. In this way you can prepare and assess what this unique visitors wanted most.

Rodelio Lagahitwww.Lagahit.com

www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

Anyways, I’ve been trying to figure out lately on how to maximize my Blog in collaboration with my Job Directory. I was able to link URL and redirected it to one of my fantastico scripts. I was looking for a better content management solution in my toolbox for me to handle it with easy while updating my contents regularly. Sad to say I was not impressed as to how Joomla loads itself. So slow and such a waste of time for it to load. I transferred to other café’s hopping that it would solve my predicament but out put was still the same. And for my last resort? I think I have to settle with blogspot for the mean time in order for me to post updated articles regularly. In this way I wouldn’t have any trouble on loading the contents since Blogspot loads in a snap. It would surely be a problem also on the user’s side since most users hate waiting.

Geared for a great blogging experience

Rodelio Lagahit
www.Lagahit.com
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

This has been a lesson learned from my previous readings on various blog’s and forums that I used to park and scoop around latest news about technology and potential big ideas. Some of which are potential googler’s in the making who are in the constant lookout for potential VC’s and angels for them to sell their big ideas. Passion indeed could make you fathom the unfathomable.

Just the other night this close confidante of mine called me up about her big idea. As expected, t’was kinda big though not the likes of Google and BitTorent but still worth the scrutiny, as always. Actually, I was in a discreet mode at that time so as to prevent any heated conversation, the usual thing business partners do if a clash of ideas crop up. She wanted me to be her potential partner in realizing her big idea – consultancy. Not again. Now, I was really reluctant in this venture for a fact that I know that we are up to a challenging pursuit towards corporate freedom. Without discounting the fact that there are a lot of able, experienced and qualified consultants who has a good portfolio at hand thus, we don’t stand a chance. Fact also is that were not in the position for such pursuit knowing that were just ordinary HR who happens to be different from other young and aspiring HR. Then she insists that we can do it! Now this is what I like most in a conversation wherein ideas are thrown without any reservation. And so I told her, we don’t have the names and those literal positions that most young executives are bragging to attract SME’s in the making. It’s those ideas counts! Now logic comes in. So why chose me? Only five words were uttered. You have those big IDEAS! Then she nailed me in the head. And a moment of silence…and so what? So she attacked me using some milestones in my portfolio.

I founded HR Cebu out my passion to make a difference in my chosen field. I know I don’t have the edge at that time for I was not a graduate of any related discipline for me to become an effective HR. My time spent surfing around the net at that time paid off when I bump into a big IDEA joining HR Philippines and exploiting yahoo thus, I created my own egroup based in Cebu i.e. HR Cebu. In this way I can gather HR professionals from around and exchange views about the current trends and practices in HR and business world in general. In this way I can learn from them though they can’t learn from for I still got nothing in my head during those times. This is what I’ve become after constantly pursuing the real meaning of my existence. Driven by passion.

Passion is the edge. Edge is to excel and we just don’t stop there. Dream on!
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

If not from schools then from what type of industry you’ve learned stuffs. Is this the kind of training they got form their respective organizations? Are these the one’s being taught to them by their immediate heads on how to get quality and promising applicants? Is this a proven technique as to acquire quality hires?

Young as they are there’s still plenty of lessons still to be learned. I just hoped that they’d realize this early that sometimes real talents are concealed in rough surfaces. It takes a fine craftsman to mold a masterpiece and time to test its determination. You’ll never know that those résumé’s your dumping is gold and right before you knew it they’ve already made your competitor a great company to work with earning enormous profits. Another scenario is how one guy who was thrown out by his own company of which he co-founded. Ironic right? Latter he built his own company of which his former company acquired and right then he was back on board. And who is this guy then? Steve Jobs of Apple himself. You know who’s responsible for iPhone’s wide acceptance though for a fact that it’s still to be released by AT&T come last week of June. Gold’s are buried beneath the surface so you should exert more effort and give them a fair treatment for you to identify future great performers.

Rodelio Lagahit
www.Lagahit.com
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

It is also about keeping the right person. But how can we keep such valuable asset amidst the growing industries that promises to offer a fun place to work with plus perks together with extremely high starting rate? This is just one of those deep-seated questions being thrown now days by HR executives in every round table brainstorming there is. This has been one of the reasons why thinkers such us J. Collins & Porras adopted “built to last concept”, R.M Kanter urged executives to become “change masters” & Welch embraced “boundaryless” organization initiated with an open-book strategy just to encourage innovation and creativity to better position their respective organizations. To borrow one CEO’s statement “Take away my assets and leave my people.” This is one proof of how valuable these intangibles are to every organization striving to keep its pace in the new emerging economy.

Decades ago applicants use to offer commitment, loyalty, trust & conformity to our standards but sudden paradigm shift has emerge that lead to employers approaching talents offering them career path, security, training & development and benefits of which other industries could not match. This is the reason why I’m encouraging young job seekers alike to be a “company of their own” just to keep abreast with the demands of the new economy as discussed on my previous article. This is a good opportunity rather to better equip themselves with the necessary tools & competencies before exploiting the new global mindset of every recruiter and employer i.e. blitzkriegs. Job seekers should never rely too much of what their institution has offered them for things they taught us are mostly outdated proven by emerging practices in the new business arena. You should be responsible of your growth as discussed on my previous article. On one hand, this has been the reason why some multinationals or even local companies resorted to strategic collaborations with known institutions for strategic advantage. Some global corporations have even built their own institution and pooled the best professors at large just to help them breed new emotionally intelligent leaders – Hybrid performers. If you belong to these types of organization then so what if you’ll jump-ship. But still, they’ll bleed in silent and morn for the loss such talent for along with it was an enormous amount of tacit knowledge of which we can’t write nor explain. This led me to embrace the fundamentals of knowledge management before your think tank’s runs dry. Now, are you scared? Is your company still willing to push the game plan with your clear and concise operating system together with your ambitious or measurable goals? Then I would suggest you check your talent management program if it could counter your future knowledge management initiatives.

To make the matter worst, loyalty has never been this expensive. This subject was already highlighted on my previous article as well. If given a chance your employees would surely jump-ship for better opportunities just like the construction industry of which I belong. We really can’t match what overseas employers can afford and aside from that we really can’t hold people because we wanted them to grow. Grow? Are these just an excuse that we can’t really afford them? Even leading BPO’s can’t buy this one though they are known for buying even your soul just to get you on board. What’s interesting is that these geeks, wonks & skunks opt to transfer because they neither were emotionally disturbed or left from the dustbin wherein Team Leaders fails to see them or simply don’t care about them. That’s the worst boss I could ever imagine. This is where common pitfall rests why some organizations end up empty handed with extraordinary talents awaiting to be molded.

Talent management has been a core initiative by global corporations recently to cope with the war for talents. Some locally based organizations adopted this strategy with out realizing that they lack a certain ingredient to fully succeed in this initiative i.e. culture. Culture has been very vital to every organizations success. This is why Mr. Knight of Nike was convinced that his friend would write Nike a book for the author was so certain that no matter how they divulge their process and systems still It wont be a guarantee that you’ll excel like Nike. Another proven scenario is how we patterned our Constitutional System to Uncle Sam’s Constitution. We lack something that the Americans posses.

Hundreds of company’s has already dissected Toyota’s DNA just to find out that they’re no extraordinary company but rather packed with extraordinary leaders and people that some company’s could not match. Are we using the right program for the right organization? Or are we just duplicating the platform or stage not realizing that we have different dancers on board with different music in mind. Shall we be transparent enough with our Talent Management Program just to inspire low class performers? Studies shows that management only utilizes 20% of what a certain employee can do. So let’s do simple math as to what percentage are these high potentials compared to those untapped potentials. You’ll then get an idea as to how you can be a great company to work with using these untapped or unchallenged potentials. Sometimes it’s so ideal but if it’s ideal then it’s the right thing to do. Present them opportunities, encourage them to be innovative & creative and provide them specialized trainings to unleash their innate talents and for them to be employable when crisis strikes because no great company can promise a lifetime employment to its employees and that’s certain.

Every employee has its own mission in life. Companies have also their own mission in such a way that a few exploited their employees just to realize it. So what then is the challenge for HR? I may be an idealist but still I’m offering you this challenging task i.e. to align every fiber (mission) to your organizations mission for you to encourage innovation and creativity from within. In this way we can tap unrecognized potentials after which you can set back and relax. How do we do it? That will be the next topic I’ll be discussing in the series of this self taught reviews.

Going back, I’m really an advocated of open-book strategy and transparency towards every initiative that a certain organization undertakes. Some would argue as to what’s the point of showing it to them who are those identified potentials or what are the criteria for you to qualify to undergo a rigid training for possible promotion? I guess your elementary teacher can answer you that as to why he wanted you in front of the class when you were so neat and well groomed. We need models and models are the ones responsible why some excel and succeeded in various fields.

Past performances are sometimes not a guarantee for future success though some schools of thought would still argue that it is a good indicator of how he will perform in the near future. This has been one of the criteria as to why we chose them as to what we want you to become and how employers wanted you to perform. And so, are leaders born or made? Leaders are born and honed in my opinion as much as talents are being cultivated.

Employment branding has also been a long-term strategy to provide every organization a steady flow of potential applicants. Every body is aiming to be the employer of choice but a few only were recognized. This has also been brought about by scarcity of talents that we recruiters and employers resorted various gimmicks just to attract and retain talents. And yet still we end up empty handed. The way I see it? Happy employees are the one’s responsible for bigger profits.

It’s really so daunting that attrition rates of various types of industry has been this high lately. Even call centers of which this topic was inspired is not excused from this trend i.e. skyrocketing attrition rates. So what is needed to be done and how to do it? There are various initiatives and best practices from around. These came from various industries that are proven and tested. All you have to do is look for one that fits your organization’s culture. Refine it, remodel it and be consistent with it.

Rodelio Lagahit
www.Lagahit.com
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

You have to be a company of your own.

I'd like to share this self taught learning reinforced by various readings to fellow job seekers out there. Actually I'm still actively looking for a new skill and challenge to embrace hopefully a big one to a new company (BPO preferred).

Job seekers should think like a company or act like a company equipped with the latest tools and competencies for you to be marketable enough to customers around. And who are these customers? Employers of course.

Fresh from college? So how do you guys market yourselves? Well mostly fresh grads usually brag their diploma's, grades and licenses but I tell you some employers don't care about these stuffs because past performance cannot guarantee them that your worth the investment though some schools of thought would still agree that it's a good source of information on how you'll perform in the long run.

So what then really counts if you don't belong to those classroom brainiacs of your time?

Attitude! This one is the most important asset. If you posses the right attitude then most likely you'll have the edge. One should posses the passion coupled interest for it would really be the needed currency if you really wanted to excel on a particular task. Some employers also would focus on the various skills and competencies you posses. With these set of skills they'll be giving you a hint of how fast can you learn on a certain job or task. This is how companies balance things because if you have these stuffs in your back pack then mostly likely you'll fit with their culture. Culture has been very vital now a days in every company.

Flexibility. This attribute is highly associated with an outgoing personality. Usually, applicants who posses these has higher tendency of doing the job right and would likely not be a problem if crisis strikes. Flexible persons are really fun & cool to work with. These are the type of people who makes an office fun to stay and work with though loyalty would be another story because now a days loyalty is so expensive to buy.

As much as possible learn various skills when your still young and able. Don't love your company but rather love your job. Loving your job could give you more not your company. Don't rely too much from the company when it comes to growth and learning because companies would only train you for what is needed to know not what you like to know for these bunch of trainings are all aligned to their corporate goals. You should be the one responsible for your learning and growth. Upgrade your studies while your still fresh from college for 4-5 year degrees would never be enough at this stage.

All of these are a few of the things you need to posses for you to become a company of your own. When you have the needed skills, experience and exposure then your more than ready to look for a customer. Whats interesting is that maybe you wont be approaching your next customer but rather they'll be approaching you with a higher price.

How I wish I'll be approached by one soon... :)

Rodelio Lagahit
www.Lagahit.com

www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

For everyone to know Yehey is also a service site based in the Philippines and considered to be the No. 1 search engine based in the country. Yehey offers services like other search engine does. I was also delighted last time when I used to be active to this search engine because they offer freebies like every log in or surfing you inside their walls you are given points for you to redeem it after.

Lately, yehey has been re-positioning their search engine. A lot of cool stuffs were added to spice up its user experience plus its new look.. I find its template cool and simple yet very attractive to users of its kind. Now the question of branding comes in? Do they posses the kind of name that can transform them into a global player in the long run? Or do they posses a good name? Or they're just considered as a shadow of Yahoo? We all know that Yahoo is a force to reckone with but I dont Yehey can. No matter how much they spend to brand their site I think it won't work. Their name is not an accident I tell you but due to the fact that they already started it so I guess they'll play with it. Good names really matter in branding your company.

Sometimes brand can happen accidentaly. Lets take Craigslist as an example. Everyone knows what Craig Newmark's site offers. A down-to-earth service company embeded with personal touch. His company began when he wanted to help out friends thru posting apartments and eents on his site. Word of mouth was also the factor why his site gained wide acceptance that is why he resorted to a list server. With C. Newmarks achievement he has been considered by many as one of the 50 most powerful force in the web.

This was the guy who influced me on building my own service site Lagahit. I got the name and working now on positioning it to a much wider audience and hopefully gain public acceptance.

Rodelio Lagahit

www.Lagahit.com

www.Lagahit.blogspot.com

www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

It's not about millions bucks that I'm after but rather being the best at what I do. I just wanted to be a different recruiter from the rest. In my opinion, you can never be a perfect recruiter if you don't have that network to tap with.

Bug's are still present and I've been receiving an average of 10 emails a day from my regesitered users. Concerns were still the same as to the problem of log'n in to acces our features. Worst one of my admin menu has still has errors on it of which my programmer cant fix it due to his present engagements. Yes, his a freelance web geek who happens to be gifted enough to learn PHP & SQL before entering college. Tough huh? My programmer is just kid fresh from high school yet curious enough to dissect the whole thing and able to produce such a wonderful product of emagination though I conceptualized the whole project. Man, I can't stop teaching myself how to code in the office knowing that this wonder kid can do it hahahaha.. I pity myself. On one hand, I think I'm still cool because I thought myself html (Big deal? ) not really hihih..

HR professionals now a days should learn to do this though I'm not obliging them to learn such stuffs but still its worth the effort for you to learn a new skill on top of being an effective hr professional. I know I sound silly but this thing I'm doing keeps me doing things at par. Curiousity & interest is really the currency needed here if you want to learn this stuff aside from patience.

HTML? This was the first lesson I learned in front of my P4 PC using frontpage before I found out that Dreamweaver is so powerful on building dynamic websites. I bought a book to help me with HTML coding. The output? well I was able to launch www.hrcebu.com as my first project after www.ukay-ukay.net. Sad to say bought sites went down coz my ISP pull off. Still, t'was because of my persistence I proceeded with other projects.

Rodelio Lagahit www.lagahit.com

www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

You may check them at www.jajah.com and try their features and the service.

As we all know skype has been making waves lately but this time a new promising rival wanted to challenge skype's position. Jajah will be offering registered members call one another for free for about 500 minutes a month (which mean you can call out to any mobile or landline anywhere around the world for 500 minutes a month for free). This surely be a good alternative in calling colleagues outside the country.

What's the big difference, actually skype only offers free P2P conversation to registered members thru the computer but Jajah dont have this but rather they do it over the phone.

So why not try it...
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory

I've tried registering various blog accounts but none of it sustained. The fact is I don't care or it's just that I'm not good in writting or expressing my crazy thoughts and ideas.

To date, I'm more than willing to settle for one blog account and start blog'n for updates about "my own paradigm of the web". As you can see everybody is affected by this genra. We can't neglect it anymore due to the fact that wherever we go or whatever transactions we do it would somehow be connected to the web - information superhighway.

This blog account would focus on the latest tech news in the country and wherever my curiousity reaches. I was also motivated to do this personally because aside from being hooked up to this "techy" thing It's really my passion to be involve in remodeling the web for greater use to everyone. Flood everyone with information of which basically is a product of my poor though wild emagination. So expect a lots of readings from a poor a kid like me.

In addition, I would like to invite you guys to my recently launched project www.Lagahit.com : aiming to be the largest employer edited job directory in the country and beyond. Amibitious? yha maybe... I can't wait to bring this thing at par with leading service providers in my category though I'm trying to separte myself from other category or perhaps I'll build my own category - first mover advantage.

So be it....
www.Lagahit.com - employer edited job's directory
