Knowledge Management has been the latest fad being adopted by Senior Managers now a day. But we should take note that not all fads are quite effective since there are a lot of things needed to be considered in choosing to adopt a certain fad and Knowledge Management is one fad that made waves in the new economy i.e. BPO Industry. Especially from BPO Industry that they wanted to know what there sub-offices are doing that is why they resulted to integrating all the systems with the use of sophisticated infrastructures.
Adopting knowledge management in the work place should start first on a shared vocabulary idea. One should understand basically what is knowledge and how to acquire it. Actually, knowledge can be and even can be bought. Of course when you avail of trainings and seminars then you acquire such knowledge. But the problem is execution. Execution has been the most common pitfalls by some organizations. They tend to plan superbly but lack the execution part of which this is the most vital part. Execution and implementation should go hand in hand together with some metrics that would ascertain results.
With execution and implementation coupled with various matrices would lead to wisdom. The moment knowledge has been applied and put into practices there’s know doubt one can attain wisdom. Constant application would lead also to this so-called tacit knowledge that we can’t even explain or write. So in this case it is highly encourage we constantly use knowledge together with some matrices for us to measures its total out put. In this process we can attain wisdom.
